Experimental Studies on the effect of Nano Silica modified novel concrete CFST columns

Abstract Under axial compression, the present article analyses and compares behaviour of Plain Concrete filled Nano Silica modified concrete with light gauge steel rectangular columns. In 18 work samples, plain nano silica-modified was tested on sections. Investigations were conducted into several essential variables, including geometry cross-section, tubular thickness steel, depth-to-thickness ratio, type infill used. From experimental results, effects flat width-to-thickness ratio (w/t), load-end shortening, load-deflection, load-strain characteristics, failure modes have been studied under linear stage. This study compared tube columns hollow to evaluate their confinement effects. The results are using BS5400, EC4, ACI codes determine ultimate sectional capacity. Test outcomes showed that nano-silica (CFST) exhibited higher strength outstanding ductility than CFST in-filled a good yield plateau non-linear stage other
